When Clock Strikes Two

Fog comes fast, heavy…

Vehicle lights wear auras…

Transients could get lost…

Hours pass as dark mist ices

Clock soft-ticks evening minutes

What happens when it strikes Two?

Perhaps sirens, or romance

Old movie’s theme, a slow dance

Memories imagined too…

The love I shared with never-you

Deb’s Devotion 4

We are
made new in You
each day
refreshed by You
as the old keeps
falling away.
“ . . .put off your old self.. .and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind . . .and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature.]
– Ephesians 4:22,23,24

Amenable To…

Amenable to…

Long rainy weekends’ patter

Rhythmic tempo played

While words fall into puddles

Ink hid ‘mid pewter shadows

Cave’s Living Death

From cave’s living death

The Resurrected Lord called me forth

Bleak dark, to His Light

Bright stunning joyous release–

False protection imprisoned

Blinded soul to vast difference ‘tween terms–

Love’s Truth set sparrow free

What Makes a Good Day?

What makes a good day?

Delightful discovery:

I’ve not forgotten

Nearly as much as I’d feared

Those “senior moments” perplex

Mind’s not quick to find

Words previously on tongue

Yet tech stuff returns

Fairly swift, though I claim it’s

My primary nemesis😉

Just Sayin’…

Mine’s no ‘designer’

Faith–false promises galore

Small kingdom called “Self”…

I’m belov’d daughter of God

Glean Truth from The Father’s Word

Lest I trip, become enmeshed

By Liar who fleeces sheep!

Peace Pieces

Scattered peace pieces

Clash of thoughts bring down curtain

Dusk-hued muslin clouds

Love Doesn’t

Love doesn’t bind heart

Blood-red skeins constricting vows

Locked in ornate cage…

Mute display of ownership

Confinement, no affection

Love doesn’t… Selfish

Cowardice, deceit throttle

Heart’s innocent trust

Fortune Cookies

As a woman of faith, I don’t take fortunes from fortune cookies seriously…but on occasion they’re harmless fun!  Since I was planning an Asian menu for New Year’s, I bought a box of the cookies.  I have to say, I enjoyed the lightly sweet taste after all the rich holiday baking I did!

Anyway, some of the fortunes are silly, others are kind of thought-provoking–so I decided to share a few with you🙂  I’d love to hear what you think!

“A routine task will turn into an enchanting adventure.”  (Laundry? grocery shopping?)

“Not every soil can bear all things.  Be practical.”  (Deep ponder)

“Look for the dream that keeps coming back.  It is your destiny.”  (Definite possibility)

“A friend is a present you give yourself.”  (So true!)

“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”  (Seems obvious)

“You are inclined to come up with unconventional solutions.”  (Probably true once or twice)

“New financial resources will soon become available to you.”  (That would be nice!)

“Keep an eye open for an opportunity.”  (I do this all the time!)

Abundant blessings to you all,  Zelda♥
